Dolly Pips and Branch Buddies were thought up

almost on the same day! We stopped for a picnic in

a clearing on a family dog walk through the woods.

Our youngest daughter Porter had brought a couple

of peg dolls with her. She was playing with these and then added some fallen branches to her play. At that moment I remembered carving branches as a child and making them into little gnomes or hedgehogs. We brought a couple home and the fun began. My middle child Indie, requested that they have arms and legs. I couldn't make this work which gave me the idea to make the Dolly Pips!

The fun soon became an uphill mountain of obstacles! I decided I wanted to learn to turn the wood so I could make the dolls myself! Well a few months later, I finally got there and alongside our pretty play bases, stacking stones and tumble trolls, we introduce you to our Dolly Pips and Branch Buddies.
